Taught by Master Calligrapher & Artist Jiang Zhe-Zhou |
First Strokes Calligraphy is designed to provided a fun hands-on introduction to Calligraphy. As a follow on to the first semester, we will introduce Idioms from our first 100-200 characters list. Chinese calligraphy is more than a fine art, it is the foundation for learning characters. Students will learn basic strokes, radicals and characters from our "key 100 words" list. Together these areas combine to form a foundation for literacy in Chinese. Students age 5 - adult are invited to enroll in the special hands-on class. This class has no pre-requisites. All students age 5 & up are encouraged to enroll. Intermediate & Advanced level students are strongly encouraged to enroll. |
