Moms, Dads, & children ages 1-3 & 4-5 New & Continuing Students Learn Chinese with games, songs, and chants you play with your child. Communication skills will be developed with age-appropriate stories & multimedia. This is a multi-level, multi-age class. Each session we will work through a series of songs and storybooks. Classes are divided by age: 1-3 yr old Teletubbies Class 4-5 yr old Class We will enable parents to play with their children at home in Chinese. This is group immersion Chinese class for parents & children.

Chinese for Mommy Daddy & Me

Intermediate Level Class for Parents & Children Kindergarten - 4th Grade Continuing Students only - new students will be evaluated for placement in this class. This class will focus on the development of Chinese thinking skills. Students will continue to develop spoken proficiency by learning to compose their own stories & narratives through pictures. Chinese reading skills will be introduced. Students will develop a foundation for literacy by learning Chinese Radicals and from our "top 100" Characters list. When student have learned to sight read 100+ total charaters, they will begin to learn Chinese phonetics "Zhuyinfuhao." When they are developmentally ready to begin typing (approximately 3rd grade), students will be taught Pinyin. Until they have met both the sight reading & developmental bechmarks, conversation & critical thinking skills will be stressed as the primary goals.

Moms, Dads, & children ages 2-4 Intermediate Level Continuing Students only - new students will be evaluated for placement in this class. This fast-paced class will focus on developing the child's comprehension of narrative speach. Through the use of age appropriate authentic materials, children & parents will engage in games, songs, and activities acting out stories from the Teletubbies, Pororo and Miffy television program series. Lesson content will include subjects across the curriculum - natural science, mathematics, and geography.
